Published on June 20, 2020, a heart-wrenching story emerged from Nyeri, where a couple, Simon Ndung'u and Mary Nyambura, found themselves unable to support their two young children.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, the couple has faced immense challenges in finding odd jobs to provide for their two-year-old and ten-month-old children.

Simon Ndung'u, in an interview with NTV, expressed his willingness to give up his children for adoption, free of charge, to anyone who can ensure they receive proper care and never miss a meal.

"I have been unable to provide my children with food, let alone clothes. I have decided to look for someone who can take care of them," said Mr. Ndung'u.

He further explained, "I thought life would be better, but it has become harder since my children were born. Even when I leave for work, I have to follow my wife back home to ensure we find a place to stay, as I am unable to take her with me."

The couple's decision has sparked a mix of reactions on social media, with many Kenyans expressing their shock and sadness at the situation.
