Published on June 20, 2020, Barcelona's La Liga title hopes were dealt a significant blow after a 0-0 draw with Sevilla at the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan.
The match, which saw both goalkeepers produce outstanding saves, failed to produce a goal as Julen Lopetegui's side held the defending champions.
Sevilla's Jules Kounde had a golden opportunity to put his side ahead in the 11th minute, but his shot went agonizingly wide.
Three minutes later, Kounde was at the other end defending his goal as he cleverly headed away Lionel Messi from a set-piece that was going directly into the back of the net.
The second half was action-packed, with Munir El Haddadi pulling the strings with a darting run down the left and going solo on goal, but Marc-Andre ter Stegen fisted his shot away.
Lucas Ocampos also pulled a fantastic save off Ter Stegen as he made a strong run down the right before drilling in a powerful shot at the near post, but the German shot-stopper was equal to the task.
Barcelona's Lionel Messi had another free-kick tipped over by Tomas Vaclik in the 72nd minute, and two minutes from time, Luis Suarez almost won it for Barca but the Uruguayan striker could not keep his shot down from a Jordi Alba's cross.
On-loan Real Madrid full-back Sergio Reguilon had a glorious opportunity on time added on as a lucky bounce fell into his path, but he could not get the right contact with the ball as Ter Stegen made an easy catch.
