Manchester United's unbeaten run in all competitions has reached 12 games, dating back to March, after a late penalty from Bruno Fernandes secured a 1-1 draw against Tottenham on Friday evening.

The draw takes Manchester United to 46 points, two points behind Chelsea, who have a game in hand.

Steven Bergwijn gave Tottenham the lead in the 27th minute, powering a shot past David De Gea, who was largely at fault for not stopping the shot.

Bergwijn's goal was a result of his seamless dribbling past a couple of United players, including captain Harry Maguire, before hitting a sweet ball to the back of the net.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made some calculated risks, including introducing Paul Pogba, who provided the much-needed zest to an otherwise lackluster Manchester United attack.

Pogba drew a foul in the penalty area after tricking Eric Dier into a tackle, setting up Fernandes' late penalty.

However, things could have gone worse for Tottenham late on as United were on the verge of being handed another penalty, but the VAR deemed Fernandes to have dived after the Portuguese went down in the area.
