On January 2020, DJ Evolve's life took a dramatic turn when he was allegedly involved in an argument with Embakasi East, resulting in a gunshot wound to his neck.
Footage shared on social media showed Babu Owino pulling out his gun and firing at Evolve without hesitation. The incident left Evolve in a critical condition, and he was rushed to the Nairobi Hospital.
After five months of intensive care, Evolve was finally discharged from the hospital, bringing relief to his family and fans. Despite the challenges he has faced, Evolve remains grateful for his life and is optimistic about his recovery.
Evolve's mum expressed her gratitude to fans, family, and friends for their support during this difficult time. However, she also emphasized the importance of maintaining hygiene and following the strict guidelines set by Evolve's doctors.
Evolve himself has also spoken out, promising fans a good time in the future as he works towards getting back on his feet. In a heartwarming message, he said, "Sometimes I can feel my toes. That reassures me that God is still working on me. I cannot wait to get back on my feet, meet and entertain my fans."
