Concerns Over DJ Evolve's Medical Bill

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has spoken out on the discharge of DJ Evolve, who was recently released from hospital after a prolonged treatment period.

According to reports, DJ Evolve's family had been battling medical bills following several surgeries he underwent after the January 6, 2020, shooting incident at Nairobi's B-Club.

Despite being set free to return home on June 18, 2020, concerns have been raised over the hefty medical bill that Felix's treatment accrued, reportedly amounting to KSh 17 million.

Speaking to TUKO, Babu Owino claimed he had cleared the medical bill, stating that there was no way DJ Evolve would have been discharged without clearing pending hospital bills.

"I sorted his (DJ Evolve) bill of KSh 17 million and that is why the hospital allowed him to be discharged, he won't have been discharged without the bill being sorted," Babu Owino said.

However, DJ Evolve's father had previously come out to state that his son's bill was still pending, sparking concerns over the DJ's unstable condition and frail state.

Babu Owino further clarified that despite media reports, DJ Evolve is actually improving and responding well to treatment, and will now be attended to from his home.

"I have heard people raise concerns about the condition of the patient and I want to tell you DJ Evolve was discharged by doctors on account that his condition had improved and could be managed from home," Babu Owino said.
