Kenya confirmed 117 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, June 19, 2020, out of 3,043 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
According to Health CAS Rashid Aman, the new cases bring the total number of cases to 4,374 and the number of samples tested to 433,541.
Of the new cases, 113 patients were reported in various parts of the country, with Nairobi recording the highest number at 51, followed by Mombasa with 22 cases.
The age distribution of the reported cases ranged from 11 to 75 years, with 83 of them being male and 34 female.
Unfortunately, two patients died, bringing the number of recorded fatalities to 119.
On a positive note, 91 individuals were discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,550.
