On June 19, 2020, Kenya's Health CAS Dr Rashid Aman announced that the country had recorded 117 new positive cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
Out of the 117 cases, 112 were Kenyans and five were foreigners. The cases were from 3,043 samples, with 83 males and 34 females.
Kenya has now a total of 4,374 confirmed cases from a total of 133,541 samples.
Of the new cases, Nairobi county led with 51 cases, followed by Mombasa with 22 cases and Kajiado with 18 cases.
Additionally, 91 patients were discharged, bringing the number of recoveries to 1,550. Unfortunately, two fatalities were also recorded, bringing the total number of deaths to 119.
