Published on June 19, 2020, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has ridiculed claims that the team allied to Deputy President William Ruto has left Jubilee party.

Speaking on social media, Murkomen said the meeting between Ruto and perceived rebels on Thursday was a mere meeting uniting members who had been stripped of their duties in both the National Assembly and the Senate.

He added that it was wise for them to establish the Jubilee Asili Centre, allowing members who had been denied access to the party headquarters in Pangani to meet.

DP Ruto had a meeting with legislators believed to be in favor of him, which led to the establishment of a Jubilee party copycat, Jubilee Asili.

Reacting to the development, Murkomen said, "Jubilee Party is our party, our labor of love, and visionary investment, whose fruits we look forward to enjoying. Jubilee Asili Centre is the meeting Venue for and by members who have been denied access to our party office on Thika Road. Tuko Sote Pamoja!"
