On Friday, June 19, Kenya recorded 117 new COVID-19 cases from 3,043 samples tested in the last 24 hours, according to Health CAS Rashid Aman.
Published on June 19, 2020, at 15:28:20, this update brings the total number of cases to 4,374 and the number of samples tested to 433,541.
Health CAS Rashid Aman announced the new cases during the daily COVID-19 briefing at Afya House.
Of the new cases, 113 patients were distributed across various counties, with Nairobi recording 51 cases, Mombasa 22, and Kajiado 18.
The age distribution of the reported cases ranged from 11 to 75 years, with 83 of them being male and 34 female.
Unfortunately, two patients died, bringing the number of recorded fatalities to 119.
91 individuals were discharged in the same period, bringing the total number of those who had recovered to 1,550.
