Kenya is grappling with a worsening coronavirus situation, with a significant spike in new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
According to Health CAS Rashid Aman, who made the announcement on Friday, June 19, 117 people have tested positive for COVID-19 from a sample size of 3043.
"In the last 24 hours 117 people tested positive for COVID-19 from a sample size of 3043. This now brings the national tally to 4374. Of the 117, 112 are Kenyans while five are foreigners. The age distribution is between 11 years and 75 years," said Aman.
Notably, 91 more patients have been discharged from various facilities, bringing the number of recoveries to 1550.
