It's been over a decade since Abel Mutua's life was changed by the kindness of Jua Cali, a musician he met at an event in 2009.
According to Mutua, he was invited to perform at an event where Jua Cali was the headlining act, but things didn't go as planned.
Despite being promised a payment of Sh30,000, Mutua only received Sh1,000 after the event.
However, it was Jua Cali's generosity that left a lasting impression on Mutua.
As Mutua narrated in a YouTube video, Jua Cali took him under his wing, offering him a place to rest in his hotel room and even giving him money to buy food.
"While there, I met Jua Cali, who felt very sorry for me. He told me he came on a plane. He told me to relax and sleep in his room. He was so kind. Be blessed, you inspired me that day," Mutua said.
