David Luiz's contract with Arsenal is set to expire on June 30, but the Brazilian defender is reportedly willing to stay at the Emirates.

Luiz's agent, Kia Joorabchian, has spoken out about the contract situation, stating that it will be resolved by the end of the week.

According to Joorabchian, Luiz had a very bad game against Manchester City on June 17, but he is a professional who has won 20 trophies in his career, including the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Europa League, and the Champions League.

Luiz is looking at June 22 as the latest date when his future will be decided.

Despite his poor performance against Manchester City, Luiz is interested in staying at Arsenal and is hoping to be handed a two-year contract extension.

However, reports suggest that Arsenal are only willing to extend his contract by 12 months, with a significant pay cut from his current KSh 15 million (£120,000) per week.

Luiz's future at Arsenal will be decided soon, with the Gunners facing Brighton and Hove Albion on June 20 in their next Premier League fixture.
