On June 19, 2020, Kenya's COVID-19 cases continued to rise, with 213 new cases reported in the last 24 hours from 6,024 samples.

According to Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman, the increased number of positive cases is due to enhanced testing efforts.

Dr. Aman announced that reagents are now available, enabling the country to conduct more tests daily.

As of the latest update, 106 patients have been discharged, raising the total recoveries to 1,459, while the death toll rose to 117 after 10 people died in the last 24 hours.
