Since its introduction in Kenya, the E-Citizen portal has revolutionized the way citizens access government services. As of June 19, 2020, you can now register for your E-Citizen account and enjoy the convenience of accessing various services online.
With an E-Citizen account, you can apply for a passport, renew your driver's license, register your business, and access other government services from the comfort of your home or office.

- Original ID card
- Phone and phone number
- Working email address
- Working internet connection
Steps to Register for E-Citizen Account ¶
- Visit the E-Citizen website ( www.ecitizen.go.ke )
- Click on the 'Create Account' option
- Choose the 'E-Citizen Kenyan Citizen Create Account' option
- Fill in the required details, including ID number, first name, email address, mobile number, and password
- Enter the validation code sent to your phone number
- Verify your information, and your E-Citizen account will be ready
