On June 19, 2020, Justice David Majanja made a landmark ruling in favor of Royal Media Services (RMS), ordering the Attorney-General to pay Sh104.8 million in unpaid advertisements, plus 12 percent interest, for services rendered 15 years ago.

The unpaid advertisements were initially offered to the defunct Constitution of Kenya Review Commission (CKRC), which has since ceased operations.

The ruling is a significant victory for RMS, a prominent media firm in Kenya.
