DP Ruto Meets with De-whipped Jubilee Leaders to Chart New Course

On June 19, 2020, Deputy President William Ruto held a crucial meeting with de-whipped Jubilee leaders at the Jubilee Asili Centre.

According to Dennis Itumbi, the former Statehouse Digital and Communications Strategist, the meeting was to strategize on how the leaders can now play their role in other matters now that they are free of parliamentary leadership responsibilities.

"DP @WilliamsRuto currently meeting all the recently de-whipped Legislators at The Jubilee Asili Centre. Message – let us now play our role on other matters now that you are free of Parliamentary Leadership responsibilities MOVE from… BOARDROOMS & interact with #HustlerNation," read Itumbi's post.

During the meeting, the Deputy President emphasized the need for Kenyans to adhere to the government's set directives to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

He also announced that he will be visiting different areas in the coming days to offer his assistance to people affected by the pandemic.
