Researchers from Which? have sounded the alarm on a new phishing scam targeting Instagram users. The scam message claims a copyright violation has been detected on the user's account and threatens to close it unless they provide personal information.

The message, which appears to be from Instagram's help centre, includes a link to a fake Instagram site where users are asked to hand over their personal details. However, there are several tell-tale signs that the message is fake, including the fact that it comes from an account called 'Instagramsupportcf', which is not one of Instagram's official accounts.

Instagram has confirmed that it is investigating the account behind the scam messages. If you receive a similar message, make sure to report it by holding down on the message and tapping 'Report'.
