On June 18, 2020, Nairobi Hospital discharged DJ Evolve, real name Felix Orinda, after a six-month hospital stay.
Evolve had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following a shooting incident at B-Club in Nairobi in January.
Embakasi lawmaker Babu Owino has denied shooting Evolve in court and refused to comment on the matter during a recent media interview.
According to sources close to the DJ's family, he had shown significant improvement but still required medical care.
His colleagues also stated that Evolve was still struggling to speak following multiple surgeries.
Police were present when he was discharged, and a video posted by Mpasho showed him being wheeled out of the hospital in an adjustable bed, surrounded by cheering friends.
