Kenya Records 213 New COVID-19 Cases, Tally Now at 4,257

On June 18, 2020, Kenya's Health CAS, Dr. Rashid Aman, announced that the country had registered 213 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 4,257.

The new cases were discovered in 6,024 samples tested between Wednesday and Thursday, with 198 cases among Kenyans and 15 among foreigners.

Of the 213 patients, 151 were male and 62 were female, with the youngest being 1 year old and the oldest 73 years old.

The counties most affected by the new cases were Nairobi (136), Mombasa (32), Kajiado (13), Kiambu (7), and Busia (5).

Kenya has also seen 106 patients recover from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,459, and 10 more patients succumbed to the disease, pushing the national toll to 117.

As of June 18, 2020, Kenya had tested 130,498 samples for COVID-19.
