On Wednesday, DJ Evolve, a Nairobi Disk Jockey, was discharged from Nairobi Hospital, marking the end of a six-month recovery period. The shooting incident occurred on January 17 at the B-Club in Nairobi.
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, who was charged with the shooting, was released on a cash bail of Sh10 million on January 27. The case is still pending in court, with Babu facing charges of attempted murder.
According to those present during the discharge, doctors informed the family that Evolve will be monitored at home due to his ongoing recovery. The DJ's colleagues revealed that his speech was still not back to normal, having undergone multiple surgeries.
Police were present when he was discharged from the hospital, and he was wheeled home in an adjustable bed provided by the hospital as some of his friends cheered.
