German striker Timo Werner has made a sensational move to Chelsea, signing a five-year deal with the London club. The 24-year-old had been in high demand, with Liverpool also interested in his services.

Werner, who had scored 21 goals in 25 Bundesliga appearances for RB Leipzig, is delighted to be joining Chelsea. He has already agreed personal terms with the club and is looking forward to next season.

Speaking on his transfer, Werner said, "I am delighted to be signing for Chelsea, it is a very proud moment for me to be joining this great club."
