Cristiano Ronaldo's first child, Cristiano Jr., was born in 2010 during the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, held from June 11 to July 11 of that year.
According to reports, Junior was born in an American clinic in San Diego, California, and his mother's identity remains unknown to this day.
As Cristiano Jr. celebrated his 10th birthday on June 17, his father, the Juventus striker, marked the occasion by gifting him a pair of football boots.
Footage shows the proud father helping his son tie the boots before they ran onto a makeshift football pitch, where Junior hit the ball into an empty net.
On Twitter, Ronaldo wished his son a happy birthday, celebrating the Portuguese superstar's eldest child turning 10.
Junior's grandmother, Dolores Aviero, also penned a heartwarming tribute to her grandson, stating that he was destined for the family even before he was born.
Aviero revealed in a 2014 biography that she had traveled to Florida to pick up Cristiano Jr. when his father was representing Portugal at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
As Cristiano Jr. clocked 10, Aviero expressed her delight and pride, saying that the child brings her extra strength and that she finds daily signs that he was meant for the family even before he was born.
"Only God knows the extra strength that my grandson brings me, only God knows why his coming into my life," she posted.
"I find every day signs that he was destined for us even before he was born," she added.
