On March 23, learning resumed in Kenya after a three-month break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Education CS George Magoha had earlier announced that students from both primary and secondary schools could access their lessons via the national broadcaster Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation (KBC).
According to the CS, KBC would air education programs through Radio Taifa and KBC from Monday to Friday. The programs would include Radio Taifa lessons from 10 am to 11 am, English Service lessons from 9 am to 12 pm, and from 2 pm to 4 pm.
However, in a recent announcement, CS Magoha revealed that the earliest candidates can sit for both the KCPE and KCSE exams is next year April. This announcement was made in June 2020.
CS Magoha's announcement provides clarity on the resumption of learning in Kenya and the timeline for the KCPE and KCSE exams.
