President Uhuru Kenyatta has been urged to intervene in the crisis at MediaMax, a Kenyatta family-owned media house, where employees are facing layoffs, unpaid salaries, and allowances.

According to a letter written by the employees, they are in a state of 'utter helplessness and despair' due to the company's failure to remit PAYE, NSSF, and NHIF.

The employees have accused the Acting Chief Executive Officer, Ken Ngaruiya, of being 'unilateralist' in his approach to addressing the crisis, and have called for an audit of the company's books to uncover any 'plunder'.

The letter, which was published on June 18, 2020, is a desperate plea for President Kenyatta's intervention to save the company and its employees from 'tyranny'.
