On June 18, 2020, Saumu Mbuvi, the governor's daughter, took to her Instagram page to address a series of hate comments from an unknown woman.

According to Saumu, the woman had created a private account to write abusive comments and bully her online.

However, instead of engaging with the hate, Saumu chose to take the high road and educate the woman on the importance of appreciating each other as women.

She wrote, 'Some women just created a private account to write nonsense and abuse me…You have a long way to go, my skin too thick; I don't give into cyber bullying.'

Saumu also slammed the woman for being jealous and trying to bring her down with petty comments.

'Being jealous and writing stupid comments like a school drop… you can't downgrade me to your level whoever you are!' she wrote.

Despite the ongoing issue in her camp, Saumu has shown maturity in her response, choosing not to engage with the hate and instead focusing on promoting positivity and respect among women.
