On June 18, 2020, Xtian Dela made headlines after accusing several gospel artists of hypocrisy, including Ringtone and Alex Apoko, claiming they introduced him to alcohol.
According to Xtian Dela, it was Alex Apoko who first introduced him to alcohol, serving him a bottle of Asconi wine during a visit to Apoko's Runda home.
However, Ringtone has since responded, denying any knowledge of Xtian Dela and claiming he has never invited him to his home.
Ringtone stated, 'I normally invite people to my home and sometimes they come with their friends. In those parties, I have an assortment of wines for those guests who want wine. I don’t know him. We are not friends. Let him produce the messages.'
