June 18, 2020 - Saumu Mbuvi, a mother of two and daughter of Governor Sonko, has had enough of cyberbullies. She claims a woman is using a pseudonym to harass her online.

Responding to the cyberbully, Saumu offered words of wisdom, advising women to empower each other rather than engaging in negative behavior.

'A woman just created a private account to write nonsense and abuse me,' Saumu wrote. 'You have a long way to go. My skin is too thick, I don't give in to cyberbullying... Instead of elevating yourselves and fellow women, you're here hating, being jealous, and writing stupid comments like a school dropout... You can't downgrade me to your level, whoever you are. Women are the only ones who had the power to talk to a snake in the Bible, so nothing shocks me. My friend... Mwenyezi Mungu akusafishie roho yako.'

Not one to back down from a challenge, Saumu has consistently defended herself against online trolls. In another post, she wrote, 'Not everyone has to support you, for you to get where you are supposed to be. God will put total strangers in your path to get you there. So, I'm grateful for this opportunity.'
