On June 18, 2020, a video surfaced showing DJ Evolve, born Felix Orinda, being taken away from the hospital in an ambulance, still unable to walk and recovering from a shooting incident that occurred on January 16, 2020.
According to the video, DJ Evolve was resting flat on an adjustable bed provided by the hospital, and was able to communicate in a low voice, still recovering from the operations he underwent.
He was also seen wearing a mask, as was everyone who came to pick him up from the hospital, strictly observing COVID-19 preventive measures.
It has been several months since DJ Evolve was shot in the neck by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino at a Nairobi club, and he has had issues with his hefty bill clearance, with Babu claiming to have settled the bill but the young man's father denying it.
