On June 17, 2020, disc jockey Felix Orinda, popularly known as DJ Evolve, was finally discharged from Nairobi hospital after a prolonged five-month stay.
Evolve had been admitted to the hospital since January 2020, following a shooting incident at Kilimani's B-club area, where he was shot in the neck by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.
According to a close source to the disc jockey, Evolve will be recuperating from home, with Babu Owino still paying for his hospital bills.
Despite his progress, Evolve still faces significant challenges, including being unable to walk and requiring an adjustable bed due to the multiple operations he underwent.
His father, John Orinda, had previously stated that Evolve's upper body was okay, but his legs were still unresponsive.
