On June 18, 2020, Gor Mahia head coach Steven Polack was belatedly awarded the Insurance Coach of the Month for April 2020.
The award was initially scheduled for March but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Polack's team secured ten points in April, thanks to three wins and a draw, despite losing to Sofapaka 3-1.
Under Polack's guidance, Gor Mahia began the month with a 3-0 win over Nzoia Sugar, followed by a draw against Western Stima and a 3-2 win over Zoo FC.
Polack edged out AFC Leopards' coach Anthony Kimani, who guided his team to nine points, and Twahir Muhiddin, who secured eight points with Bandari.
