As the world grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic, Africa has been particularly affected, with many countries struggling to implement effective containment measures.

On June 18, 2020, Pathways International unveiled an Africacentric COVID-19 data portal, www.covid19datacenter.com, which provides a broader African context and disaggregated data for local focus.

The portal serves hard COVID-19 data, carefully selected interactive visual elements, and insights and patterns in the spread of the pandemic in Africa.

According to the portal's creators, 'We believe data and Artificial Intelligence can complement COVID-19 awareness efforts and help authorities and stakeholders to direct resources towards initiatives with the promise of the greatest desirable impact in Africa.'
