Deputy President William Ruto's reputation has taken a hit as a majority of his former allies have abandoned him, citing his numerous crimes and dictatorial demeanor.
According to sources, the recent revelations by Wiki Leaks have shed light on Ruto's involvement in the 2007 post-election violence, as well as the gruesome deaths of several individuals, including his own aides.
Additionally, Ruto has been linked to the theft of public funds, fraud, and blackmail, which has led to his downfall among his former supporters.
Notable figures such as Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru and Gatundu South MP have publicly denounced Ruto, declaring their support for President Uhuru Kenyatta and his development agenda.
Other lawmakers, including Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika and Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri, have also come out in support of the President, citing Ruto's inability to lead the country.
As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how Ruto will recover from the loss of his former allies and the damage to his reputation.
