On June 17, 2020, the Director-General of Health, Dr. Patrick Amoth, announced that COVID-19 cases in Eastleigh and Kawangware had significantly decreased.
Although the measures put in place in these areas have yielded positive results, the Ministry of Health will continue to monitor the situation closely.
Eastleigh was previously locked down for two weeks after a surge in reported cases, and health officials have been working tirelessly to contain the spread of the virus.
According to Dr. Amoth, the measures put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19 have borne fruit, with a substantial decrease in reported cases.
