Published on June 17, 2020, Gor Mahia head coach Steven Polack has added another trophy to his collection, winning the Coach of the Month award for February.
Polack, who joined Gor Mahia in August last year, has now won the award three times, with his previous wins coming in October and November of last year.
The award was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which halted sporting activities worldwide in March.
Despite losing to Sofapaka in the month, Polack guided Gor Mahia to a record 10 points, thanks to three wins and a draw.
The team began the month with a convincing 3-0 win over Nzoia Sugar, but suffered a 2-1 loss to Sofapaka at Narok stadium.
However, Gor Mahia wrapped up the month with two identical 3-2 wins over Zoo FC and Stima, giving Polack an edge over other KPL coaches.
Polack beat out AFC Leopards' Anthony Kimani, who guided Ingwe to nine points, and Twahir Muhiddin, who came in third with eight points.
