Wiper, CCM Sign Post-Election Coalition Agreement with Jubilee

On June 17, 2020, the Wiper Party and Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) signed a post-election coalition agreement with the ruling Jubilee Party at Jubilee's headquarters in Pangani.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto, with Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju hosting the event on behalf of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to Jubilee VicChairman David Murathe, the coalition agreement is a step towards bringing the country together and bequeathing a more stable and secure nation to the next generation.

CCM leader Isaac Ruto added that the agreement is part of ensuring the President delivers on his development agenda, and that the country will go to the elections peacefully following the handshake.

Wiper Party stated that the strategic move is for the greater good of the country, aiming to foster national unity and spur socio-political-economic development.
