Kenya Surpasses 4,000 COVID-19 Cases

On June 17, 2020, Kenya's Health CAS Dr Rashid Aman announced 184 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country's total COVID-19 cases to 4,044.

These new cases were discovered in 2,518 samples tested between Tuesday and Wednesday, with 183 of the patients being Kenyans and one a foreigner.

The majority of the new infections, 111 cases, were reported in Nairobi, with 129 male patients and 55 female patients.

Twenty-seven more patients recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,353, while two more people died of COVID-19, pushing the toll to 107.

Kenya has tested a total of 124,474 samples for COVID-19.
