Published on June 17, 2020, a hashtag #WhoMaragaIsProtecting has been trending on social media platforms, with Kenyans calling out Chief Justice David Maraga for what they see as hypocrisy.
The hashtag has exposed several judges listed among the 41 judges that Maraga is pushing for President Uhuru's approval.
On June 12, 2020, residents in Nairobi woke up to mysterious banners of Chief Justice David Maraga plastered along major roads in the city, including a flyover along the Thika Superhighway and other roads in the Central Business District (CBD).
The banners, which left many bewildered, alluded to a big exposé on the President of the Supreme Court, with a message that read, 'Why is Maraga Protecting These Judges?'
According to reports, Kenyans have been making lemonade out of lemons, and this time, they did not spare Chief Justice Maraga either.
