On June 17, 2020, the Kenya Covid-19 Emergency Response Fund received a significant boost with a Ksh. 5 million donation from the APA Apollo Foundation and the Swiss Reinsurance Corporation.
The foundation has been actively supporting various initiatives in the country, with a total donation of over Ksh. 10 million since March this year.
As part of their contribution, the APA staff members will be responsible for distributing care packages to those in need.
The donation aims to make a positive impact on the people and communities they serve, both now and in the future.
Established in March 2020, Care Package has been working tirelessly to support and protect vulnerable individuals and ensure food security in Kenya due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Through their efforts, in conjunction with the 'Stand With Kenya' campaign, they have already assisted 8,000 families with essential items such as food, face masks, and sanitization items.
