On Tuesday, the Nyeri County government distributed food donations to over 500 vulnerable residents, including the elderly, hawkers, and barmaids, in a bid to support those in need.
According to Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, the donations were channeled to his office from well-wishers and will benefit over 10,000 needy families, with the first batch going to over 3,000 families in Nyeri Central sub-county.
The donations are expected to sustain vulnerable families, with Governor Kahiga stating that they will go a long way in supporting those in need.
