Published on June 17, 2020, two police officers, Patrick Rading Ambogo and Janet Magoma Ayonga, are set to face charges for leaking CCTV footage of President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Leader Raila Odinga touring Nairobi CBD at night.
The officers were arrested on June 5, 2020, and will be charged with an unauthorized interception of computer data under the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act.
According to the charge sheet, the officers committed the crime on June 2, 2020, at around 8:20 pm, when they intercepted a security CCTV footage capturing the head of state's entourage along Kenyatta Avenue.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga were caught on CCTV camera in the middle of the night inspecting ongoing road projects in Nairobi CBD.
