On 15 June 2020, Home Afrika appointed Ms Bertha Mvati as a Non-Executive Director, marking a significant addition to the company's leadership team.
Ms Mvati is a seasoned finance specialist with nearly a decade of experience in the leasing industry across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda. Her expertise spans fundraising, credit risk, operations, and asset management, having worked in various institutions.
Ms Mvati's impressive career includes serving as the Regional Head of Finance at Vehicle and Equipment Leasing Limited, overseeing group finance and operations across Africa. She later took on the role of Managing Director and is currently the business manager at Centum investments' Zohari Leasing, overseeing the company's operations and strategy implementation.
Ms Mvati also serves on the boards of Avantis Services Ltd and Jubilant Stewards of Africa, an NGO. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance as well as a Diploma in Business Administration from the Uganda Christian University.
