On Tuesday, the Senate Business Committee named 11 senators to hear the impeachment motion against Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru. The move comes after the committee proposed that the impeachment charges against Waiguru be heard by a special committee.
The committee will be composed of 6 Jubilee representatives and 5 NASA representatives. This decision was made after the committee received orders from President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga.
Here are the names of the 11 senators who will be part of the committee:

- Paul Githiomi – Senator Ndandarua
- Anwuar Loitiptip – Lamu Senator
- Philip Mpaayei – Kajiado Senator
- Beth Mugo – Nominated Senator Jubilee
- Beatrice Kwamboka
- Stewart Madzayo – Kilifi Senator
- Judith Pareno – Nominated Senator ODM
- Moses Kajwang’ – Homa Bay Senator
- Cleophas Malalah – Kakamega Senator
