Laikipia Women Representative Cate Waruguru has made a significant shift in her political allegiance, moving from the Tanga Tanga faction led by Deputy President William Ruto to the Kieleweke faction, which supports President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to sources, Waruguru's decision was influenced by her recent meeting with Raila Odinga, the leader of the opposition, and her subsequent meeting with Kieleweke leader Kanini Kega, the new Jubilee Majority Whip.

Waruguru's new stance was evident in her comments to Inooro TV, where she described Ruto as 'very unforgiving' and 'not fit to be president.' She also suggested that Ruto could learn from Odinga's ability to forgive and move forward.

Waruguru's comments are a significant blow to Ruto's presidential ambitions, as she was once a key supporter of his. Her shift in allegiance is seen as a major coup for Uhuru Kenyatta, who is facing increasing pressure from Ruto's faction.

Waruguru's meeting with Kega and her subsequent comments to the media have sparked a heated debate in the political circles, with many questioning her motives and loyalty.

As the 2022 general elections approach, Waruguru's decision is likely to have significant implications for the political landscape in Kenya.
