COVID-19 Cases Confirmed at State House, Nairobi

State House in Nairobi has reported four confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to a statement by State House spokesperson Kanze Dena on June 11, 2020.

The cases were identified during a mass COVID-19 testing exercise conducted at the State House.

"The tests are conducted on all staff including His Excellency the President and members of his family," said Kanze Dena.

The infected officers were admitted to the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital in Kiambu County for treatment.

"Families and close contacts of the affected officers are also being attended to accordingly," Kanze Dena added.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and the First Family have been assured to be safe and free from COVID-19, according to Kanze Dena.

Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 infections in Kenya on June 15, 2020, rose to 3,727 after 133 more patients tested positive for the disease.
