On June 16, 2020, Kenya recorded 133 new COVID-19 cases, increasing the country's total confirmed positive cases to 3,860.
According to Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, the new cases emerged from 3,255 samples that were tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the country's cumulative tests to 121,926.
Notably, another 40 patients have been discharged, raising the total number of recovered patients to 1,326.
The new cases are distributed across various counties, including Nairobi (8 cases), Mombasa (27 cases), Busia (5 cases), Kilifi (2 cases), Kiambu (7 cases), Kajiado (2 cases), Machakos (1 case), and Murang'a (1 case).
