Published on June 16, 2020, Tanzanian music legend Lady Jaydee has clarified reports that she is back together with her ex-husband, popular radio presenter Gardner Habash.
As she celebrates her 41st birthday, Lady Jaydee has revealed that she has a new boyfriend, which explains her frequent travels to Switzerland before the COVID-19 pandemic grounded international travel.
Unlike her previous relationship with Nigerian musician Spicy, Lady Jaydee has stated that she will not engage in public displays of affection with her new partner.
"My boyfriend is in Switzerland, but I've been unable to visit due to the Corona pandemic. I've learned my lesson and don't want to make my relationships public again, as people only want fame," she said.
Lady Jaydee's previous relationship with Spicy was highly publicized in 2016, just months after her divorce from Gardner. She introduced Spicy to the world by posting intimate photos of the two on social media.
However, after about a year of dating, reports emerged that the two were no longer together. Lady Jaydee denied the rumors, claiming that they hadn't been together for some time due to work-related issues.
However, with the latest revelations, it appears that wasn't the case. Lady Jaydee and Gardner were together for 15 years, including 11 years as a married couple. They were married in 2005 and divorced in 2016.
Despite recent rumors of a reunion, Lady Jaydee has stated that she and Gardner are just good friends. "When you're divorced, you don't have to be enemies. We talk and work together," she said.
As Lady Jaydee gears up to release her 8th studio album, she is celebrating two decades in the music industry.
