Gor Mahia Faces Financial Crisis

Published on June 16, 2020

Gor Mahia, a prominent Kenyan football club, is currently facing a severe financial crisis that has left it struggling to pay its players and coaches.

According to reports, the club has been unable to pay its players and the coaching staff for several months, leaving many of them in a difficult financial situation.

Coach Steven Polack, who has been at the helm of the club since August 2019, has revealed that he has been forced to use his savings to survive, as the club has been unable to pay him his salary.

"I have been using my savings to buy food and meet my family's needs. The situation is difficult, and I know that many of my colleagues are also struggling," Polack said in an interview.

Polack, who has been coaching for over 30 years, has expressed his gratitude for having saved some money from his coaching career, which has helped him to survive during this difficult period.

"I am grateful that I had saved some money from my coaching career. It has helped me to survive during this difficult period," Polack said.

The club's financial crisis has been attributed to a lack of sponsorship and funding, which has left it relying on the generosity of its fans to survive.

Despite the challenges, Polack remains optimistic that the club will overcome its financial difficulties and continue to thrive in the future.
