June 16, 2020 - Cricket Australia has announced the resignation of its chief executive, Kevin Roberts, amidst the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Roberts, who took on the role in 2018, has overseen the organisation's response to the pandemic, including the temporary stand-down of 80% of Cricket Australia's full-time staff.
He will be replaced by Nick Hockley, the boss of the T20 World Cup, who will serve as interim chief executive while a permanent replacement is sought.
Chairman Earl Eddings thanked Roberts for his service, highlighting his contributions to the success of the Women's T20 World Cup and record levels of funding for community cricket.
Roberts expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve, saying it was a 'privilege' to have led the team.
