On her wedding day, a woman was looking forward to exchanging vows with her partner in a simple yet intimate ceremony. However, her joy was short-lived as she discovered a shocking truth about her best man's wife.
According to the woman, her best man's wife had worn her engagement ring to do the washing up just hours before the ceremony. The ring, a pavé-set diamond band, had been handed over to the best man a few days prior to the wedding, but it didn't go as planned.
At the reception, the woman's friends were admiring her ring when the best man's wife casually mentioned that she had worn it all morning, even doing the dishes with it. The woman, who had been trained as a lawyer, chose not to say anything at the time, but she was furious.
'How dare she take my ring out and wear it as if it were her own – and then wash her filthy breakfast dishes with it, when she knew I’d be wearing it at my wedding in just a few hours?' the woman recalled thinking.
It turned out that the best man's wife had a history of being critical and had never been supportive of the woman's relationship. The woman had always known that her best man's wife didn't get along with her, but she had never imagined that she would go to such lengths to disrespect her.
'While she might have been married to the best man, I think she’s a terrible woman,' the woman said in a recent interview.
