Former Harambee Stars Player Endorses Arnold Origi for FKF Presidency ¶
Former Harambee Stars player Jamal Mohammed has boldly endorsed Arnold Origi for the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) presidency.
Origi, who currently plays for HIFK Fotboll in the Finnish Veikkausliiga, has been a long-time dream of Mohammed's to lead the country's football.
According to Mohammed, Origi has the interest of the game and the players at heart, making him the perfect fit for the position.
"For me there's only one person who can save Kenyan football right now, it's Arnold Origi. I have played with him and Arnold is the most honest and genuine person I know," Mohammed said during an online show with Madgoat TV.
Origi's former teammate, Mohammed believes that he would make a great leader in the FKF, citing his honesty and genuine interest in the game.
However, the FKF presidency is not without controversy, with current president Nick Mwendwa facing allegations of mismanagement and corruption.
Mwendwa has been summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) to account for KSh 244 million allocated to facilitate the participation of Harambee Stars in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite the challenges, Mohammed remains optimistic about Origi's chances of becoming the next FKF president.
"I have played with him and Arnold is the most honest and genuine person I know. He has the interest of the game and the players at heart, for me given a chance he will deliver," Mohammed said.
As the FKF elections approach, the stakes are high, and the competition is fierce. However, with Mohammed's endorsement, Origi's chances of becoming the next FKF president have just gotten a significant boost.
